Pirro questioned De Niro on whether he had built any structures or changed the skyline.
In an effort to revitalize the Tribeca district in the wake of the September 11 attacks, De Niro, a native of Manhattan, together with Craig Hatkoff and Jane Rosenthal, co-founded the event in 2002. In addition, he is on the board of directors of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
“Robert De Niro, what are your achievements for the city of New York?” Jeanine Pirro of Fox News questioned Robert De Niro’s viewers. Is your name painted on any buildings? Have you built any skyscrapers? What about the skyline of New York? Has it changed at all because of your vision?
Before the closing arguments in Trump’s hush money trial, he criticized the businessman with the phrase “I love this city” as he stood outside a courtroom in lower Manhattan. I think it’s crucial to keep it intact. It has been said by Donald Trump that he wants to destroy the country, the city, and maybe the world. He wants to bring about total chaos.
In an interview with Cigar Aficionado in 2015, De Niro clarified his affiliation with New York City by stating, “I am a New Yorker.” Many items are available in New York that are not in other cities. People come here from all over the country and the world to seek self-discovery.
He says it’s a place where people may meet, remain anonymous, or find their true selves. One of the things I love about living in New York is the seasons. Because Los Angeles is so large, transportation is required everywhere. The two encounters are very dissimilar. New York is where I was born and raised. I like to hang out here.
De Niro’s actions and words both demonstrate how deeply he feels about New York City and his desire to see it flourish once more.
